Homestay

Ethos

In our homestays, the visitor is not a "king" but a cherished guest, and the stay is not a "destination" but a family’s home. We believe in the "lost art of lingering," where the goal is to discover the unique characteristics of a place while respecting its inhabitants. Along with homestays, we also offer Farmstays which are centred on agro-ecological immersion. We celebrate the traditional agricultural practices that have sustained these mountains for generations

The Experience

Stay in vernacular homes—traditional wood and stone structures—without modern "comforts" that dilute authenticity. You are invited to live with "hardened highland families," surrendering your ego to become one with the elements.

Live in a chani (a small village home situated directly in the fields) or a traditional cottage designed to withstand the high-altitude climate. This is a "farm-to-table" life where the food you eat is organic, local, and soulful.

What You’ll Do

Engage in the "languid pace of community life". Spend your days in "soul-seeking" conversations with village elders, sharing local meals, and learning to live meaningfully with very few worldly possessions.

Step into the daily rhythm of rural life—weeding fields, herding sheep, or learning about medicinal herbs.

By staying in these ancestral properties, you provide an alternative to "mass tourism" which is ultimately responsible for the fragile Himalayan ecosystem.
